Free & Low-COST
Free & Low-Cost Substance Abuse Services
The Salvation Army - Adult Rehabilitation Centers
It's surprising to many people that one of the largest providers of substance abuse services in the world is The Salvation Army. They run Adult Rehabilitation Centers in many of the major cities in the United States and around the world. These centers combat addiction, build work and social skills and help individuals to regain health and stability. They provide an average stay of 6 months completely free of charge. You do not have to be Christian to benefit from their services. For more information, visit their website. You can also find information on the same site for their "Harbor Lights" programs for women.
County Funded Programs & Services
Most counties in California fund some type of low-cost or free substance abuse services. There are simply too many to list on my website and they change from time-to-time. I suggest you Google your County name and Alcohol and Drug Services to find your local resources. Example: "San Diego County Alcohol and Drug Services."
Open Path Collective
From their website: "Open Path is a collective of therapists who have generously agreed to provide in-office treatment for $30 to $50 a session (between $30 and $80 for couples and families). Open Path clients pay a one-time membership fee to work with an Open Path therapist at a significantly reduced rate. Because the rate is so low, clients gain back their membership fee after just one session. Open Path is a 501(c)(3) tax-exempt organization. Many of our therapists also provide sessions online.
